Thank you for visiting our website!
Yes! We are worshipping in our own facility... 2415 E 104th. We are worshpping in our fellowship hall area and all Sunday School classes have their own rooms. We are able to watch daily as our sanctuary is being rebuilt; we are currently ahead of schedule. Inside details are moving along nicely and the bricklayers are busy on the outside; projected completion to be in May!
Check out www.cimarronbaptist.org for a slide show of the progress! (Thanks Bro. Bob Copeland!)
Our AWANA Clubs are "done" for this school year; the program will start again in August. In the meantime, we are planning for some children activities on Wednesdays and will post them soon!
We are currenly without a pastor, but several fine men of God are preaching for us at this time as we follow God's lead for an interim pastor in the temporary and then begin the process to find the one God has for us at IBC. Come visit us as we continue to worship together and learn God's Word.
Bro. Ben Lacy will preach our morning & evening services May 19.
We are planning a special Service on Sunday morning May 26 to honor those who have or are serving in the military. Bro. Paul Bettis, Chaplaincy Specialist, BGCO, will be our guest preacher. He is a former marine and veteran of Viet Nam. He will share in the evening serice as well. We will also recognize some from our own congregation, and guests, for their service to our great country during the 10:45am service.
We continue to work with our insurance company's project manager as he directs the rebuild of our sanctuary. Our Restoration Committee also works with him as we stay on target. We are grateful for all who are involved in this process! We continue to "be the church" as we watch our church house be completed once again. The carpet is here, soon to be installed in the sanctuary! Our constractor shared that we are about 2 weeks ahead of schedule... can "opening day" be far off!
If you do not have a church home (family!), come study and hear God's Word with us. You'll feel like family on your first visit!
May your blessings continue into the Year of our Lord, 2013!
