The Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma Annual Meeting was very informative!  Besides hearing good messages, we were informed that our SBC Baptist Disaster Relief ministry is now the largest volunteer organization of it's kind.  This is a humbling and exciting thing, as ministering in time of need is one of our Christian callings.

We will join with our Perkins Ministerial Alliance churches at Lost Creek UMC for a time of thankful worship to our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 6:00pm.  Besides joinging hearts in this way, the offerings given during this worshp are used to meet needs through our PMC churches.

On a national note, the United States of America will have a new president on Jan. 20, 2009 and Christians everywhere must lift him up in prayer as we continue to pray for our country and our other elected offcials.  However, our Leader has not changed and His Name is Jesus.  He is still in control of all things.
