Immanuel Baptist Church called Michael Cannon as our pastor. May 4, 2014 was his first Sunday with us. We are having a great time worshiping and growing in the Lord. His family, wife Pamela and children Austin, Andrea, Cody, Cadee and Charlie are an exciting addition to our church family.

Favorite verse: "Therefore we do not give up; even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen; for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Books I'm currently reading: "The Holiness of GOD" - by R.C. Sproul, "The Case for Grace" - Lee Strobel,  and "Lead Like Jesus" - Ken Blanchard and Phil Hodges.

Favorite book: The Holy Bible, it never gets old!

Hobbies: I love to be outside, in the middle of God's beautiful creation. I also like to play music and sing with my family. I would have to say that my favorite thing to do is spend time with my beautiful wife Pam and my kids (who are growing up way too fast!).

We plan to be good stewards with every opportunity, blessing, and responsibility which God has given us. We are looking forward to the work that we will be doing with our fellow brothers and sisters at Immanuel Baptist. We hope to be worshiping with you soon!

Children's Ministry Team Leader

Wilma White

I have had a passion for children since an early age. I don’t think there are many things more heartwarming than the laughter of a child. My vision of the children’s ministry is to provide a loving, supportive, and engaging environment where children can learn about Jesus.

Favorite verses: He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 It is amazing the blessings we can receive with just a little faith.

Interests: I am married with two children, one in high school and one in college. I enjoy woodworking and I LOVE college football. When I find time to read, I enjoy reading books about World War II, Jane Austen novels, and Janette Oke novels.

Favorite songs: I like a lot of different songs. It really depends on the type of year or my mood. I like traditional songs as well as praise and worship songs.
